IcyZip is a browser-based handoff tool for moving live text and one selected file between two devices. Live text and file bytes are encrypted in the sending browser and decrypted in the paired receiving browser. The service relays ciphertext. It still processes connection and transfer metadata needed to operate the pairing, such as timing, IP-derived country, browser class, message size, and for files the filename, type hint and sizes. Pairing identifiers may be retained for reconnection, but plaintext live text and received files are not stored as durable server content.
