I’m Tom. I’m a tech guy who loves padel.
I started making simple padel animations to help friends understand what they should be doing on court. Things like where to stand, when to move forward, when to give up the net and what to do when your partner gets pulled out of position.
They worked.
Seeing a situation visually was often much easier than trying to explain it. And the more animations I made, the more I realised there was an idea here.
Most padel content focuses on technique. How to hit a volley, bandeja, smash or lob. All of that matters, but when you’re actually playing a match, the difficult bit is often knowing what to do and when to do it.
Should you lob or play low? Should you attack or reset? Where should you move after returning serve? What happens when your partner gets pulled wide? When should you give up the net?
These are the decisions that happen constantly during a padel match.
So I started building Padel Smarts.
Instead of only watching tutorials, Padel Smarts lets you play through real padel situations as games. You see what’s happening on court, decide what you would do, then get immediate feedback and learn the thinking behind the smarter option.
The games are backed up by simple visual tutorials covering positioning, movement, tactics and decision making. I deliberately keep them short and visual. No huge coaching manuals and no 20 minute explanations. The aim is to teach one useful idea that you can actually remember the next time you step onto court.
There are also daily challenges where players can test themselves with a new situation and keep building their padel knowledge over time.
What started as a few animations for friends is now becoming a growing library of padel scenarios, interactive games and visual tutorials.
I’m still playing, still learning and still building.
Ultimately, Padel Smarts is the padel learning tool I wanted for myself and my friends.

What problem it solves
Padel is easy to start playing, but hard to understand.
There’s plenty of content teaching players how to hit shots, but far less teaching them what decision to make in an actual match.
Padel Smarts solves that by turning real match situations into simple visual games. Players choose what they would do, see the better decision and understand why.
It bridges the gap between learning a shot and knowing when to use it.
