We hired Cake.com to build a custom internal tool after using Clockify for years, so we already trusted the brand. The difference vs. the freelance agencies we tried before is that these folks actually run real products at scale — they pushed back on bad ideas instead of just billing us for them. Shipped on time, clean handoff, and the thing hasn't fallen over once. My only complaint is that the name makes me hungry during standups.
