About CADProps
CADProps is a browser tool for opening, measuring and converting CAD and 3D files. It supports 92 extensions, including STEP, IGES, STL and common mesh formats, plus native SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA and NX. Native formats are processed on CADProps servers rather than only inside the browser tab.\n\nEngineers, buyers and 3D-print shops use it when a supplier sends a model and they need dimensions, volume, surface area or a conversion without installing a full CAD seat. Check a known dimension before you slice or forward the file, because many STEP exports are unitless or in inches while the drawing is in millimetres.\n\nA free tier covers everyday viewing and measurement. What problem it solves
People receive STEP, IGES or native CAD from a supplier and cannot open or measure it without an expensive CAD license. CADProps lets them inspect size and volume in the browser.
