Random Pokemon Generator

Random Pokemon Generator is a free browser tool for choosing Pokemon when you need a drawing prompt, a writing idea or a casual team challenge. Instead of scrolling through a long list and deciding what to use, you can ask the tool to select a small group of species and start creating from the result. It includes 1,025 Pokemon species and lets you draw one, three or six at a time.

Generation and type filters help narrow the pool before you generate. You might want a prompt from a particular generation, a type-focused drawing exercise or a small selection for a character-inspired story. The filters make the selection more focused while preserving the element of surprise. Generation refers to the species origin generation rather than the region where a form or encounter can be found.

If you like part of a draw, lock those slots and reroll the others. This supports an iterative creative process: keep the Pokemon that already fit your idea and explore alternatives for the remaining positions. You do not need to restart the whole selection every time one result does not suit the exercise.

Seeds make draws reproducible when used with the same settings. Friends can use the same seed and filters as a shared starting point for a drawing challenge, then compare how differently they interpret the same species. A seed also helps you return to a selection later without relying on memory.

The tool runs in the browser and does not require an account or payment. It is intended for lightweight creative inspiration and casual use. It does not claim to recommend a competitively balanced team or model encounters in a specific Pokemon game. The project was built with Codex, Astro and React.
