Zoivu

Zoivu is a character creation workspace for artists, writers, independent creators and anyone developing an original character. It helps turn a starting idea into a visual direction that can be explored and refined for storytelling projects.

Starting with an idea
A character can begin with a role, a personality, a setting or simply a look you want to explore. Zoivu gives you a place to develop that initial idea and consider how its details work together. You can explore appearances and compare directions before deciding what fits your story.

Making a visual reference
A character reference sheet brings important visual choices together in one place. It can help you review the appearance you prefer and keep the character's identifying details in view as your project develops. This is useful when preparing material for a comic, a story, a game concept or another visual project.

Building on a character
A character often needs more than one image. A creator might want to explore another look, consider an expression or use a character as a starting point for a scene. Zoivu is designed to support that creative process, giving you ways to build on a character as you develop your ideas.

Who it is for
Zoivu is intended for people who want to create and explore original characters, including solo creators who are still finding the direction for a project. It can also be useful to writers who want to think visually, artists who want to explore a concept, and storytellers preparing references before expanding an idea.

How to get started
Visit Zoivu and start with a character idea. Explore different appearances, review the details you want to keep, and use a reference sheet to organize your visual direction. Then continue developing the character for the story or creative work you have in mind. Zoivu offers a freemium pricing model; see the official website for the current plan details.
