DevDock
SoftwareNewA local Windows workspace for projects, commands, Git, Docker, project health, and security checks.

About DevDock
DevDock is a local Windows desktop workspace for developers who work across several codebases and need to recover project context quickly. It keeps registered project folders, detected technologies, saved commands, run history, Git state, Docker environments, project health, and security checks together instead of scattering that information across terminal history and separate utilities.
Each project gets an overview that connects its folders, health, recent activity, and useful actions. DevDock scans a bounded set of manifests and marker files without running package managers, project scripts, or the application. Generated and custom commands keep their executable, arguments, working directory, target, and output visible. Long-running process trees can be stopped from the same workspace, and daily workflows can group the commands needed to start a development environment.
Git workflows show the current branch and remote state, protect local changes during branch switching, review push destinations, and help recover when a pull is required before a push. Docker support separates static Compose discovery from runtime health and can run compatible tasks on the host or in an appropriate service. Project Doctor and security audits surface configuration issues, exposed secrets, private keys, tracked credential files, unsafe permissions, escaping symlinks, and missing lockfiles while withholding matched secret values.
DevDock supports single-folder and multi-folder projects, including monorepos and products split across repositories. Registered folders can keep role-based labels such as Backend, Web, Mobile, or Infrastructure without moving anything on disk. Source files remain in their existing folders and version-control workflows.
The Free tier supports up to three local projects with core commands, Git, Docker, Project Doctor, and security audits. Pro is a one-time purchase that adds unlimited and multi-folder projects, custom workflows, complete history and insights, database tools, SSH transfers, and configuration backup and restore. DevDock is available for Windows. It is designed to make everyday local development state visible and repeatable.
What problem it solves
DevDock reduces the repeated work of reopening a codebase, reconstructing its commands and environment, and checking whether its tools, repositories, containers, and configuration are ready for work.
Alternatives & competitors
Windows Terminal, PowerShell, Docker Desktop, Git clients, IDE task runners, and project launchers can cover parts of the workflow; DevDock keeps the project context and repeatable actions together.
