Vokalu is voice dictation and meeting notes for Windows. Your brain doesn't think in keystrokes — speak at 130–160 wpm and get clean text where your cursor already is.

Dictation: Hold Ctrl+Win (rebindable), talk, release. Vokalu keeps the thought and drops the "ums." Dictate alone is fast transcription; Dictate + Format cleans and shapes text for the app you're in (Gmail, Slack-style chat, Claude/Cursor prompts), follows voice instructions ("translate to Spanish," "turn this into bullets"), and supports Command Mode edits on selected text. A learning dictionary and snippets handle hard names and repeated phrases. Hands-free mode and form fill are available.

Meeting notes: Start when the call begins. Vokalu listens to your mic and your PC's audio, separates speakers, and builds notes with attendees, topics, numbers, and owners — no meeting bot. Ask the meeting questions afterward, share an encrypted link, or connect Claude Desktop / Cursor via MCP.

Pricing: No subscription. Dictate 1.5¢ per minute of talking; Dictate + Format and meeting notes 2¢/min; silence free. Free every week: welcome credit + 25¢ weekly refill (no card). Private (on-device) dictation is free without AI formatting.

Privacy: Vokalu never keeps your audio. History and notes stay on your PC unless you enable hosting or share a link. Requirements: Windows 10 or 11. ~5 MB installer. Not on Mac or phone yet.
